There is a trio atop the leaderboard as round 2 gets underway at Lake View today in the 2024 EDGA Amateur Championship sponsored by Marquette Savings Bank. Past match play champions Jon Merriott (2021) and Sean Sculley (2017) were joined by former Gannon linkster Michael Marsico with rounds of 3-under par 69’s.

They are followed by another trio of players who shot 71 including Dustin Coleman, Evan Rowane and Mattia Parrini. A third trio is next which includes the defending champion, Tyler Cozad, Mike Garcia along with perennial threat Alex Weir. They are all at even par. The 2024 EDGA Match Play Champion, Mike Wolfe shot 74 and sits in 14th.

The field plays round two today and then the field will be cut to the top 24 and ties for Sunday’s finale.
