After finishing Monday as the qualifying champion, he went on to defeat R.C. Chase 2&1 and then took care of Matt Passqualinqua 3&2 in the second round. Weir now takes on Breckin Taylor who used two 5&4 victories over Dustin Coleman and Andy Klein to advance to the quarters.

The bottom of the bracket pits 5-time EDGA Match Play Champion Ron Coleman against 3-time Champion Drew Deimel. Deimel has breezed through batch play thus far with an 8&7 win over Nick Seapker and a 5&4 win over perennial contender Dave Spitzer. Coleman, a 8-time EDGA major champion used like 3&2 victories to defeat Zach Bihler and Jimmy Callaghan.
