Posted: August 1st, 2018

The Country Club of Meadville hosted the final Junior tour stop for the season and the kids showed their dedicated summer practice has paid off.

Thirteen old Lydia Swan toured the Meadville layout making six birdies and two bogies shooting 69 on the par 73 for the ladies. Older brother Isaiah Swan along with his North East teammate Carter Hassenplug and Meadville’s Ryan Ferry added to the under par barrage by shooting 1 under par 71’s.

McDowell’s Skyler Carr and soon to be Mercyhurst University Laker David Nichols mastered the soft Meadville layout with even par 72’s making a total of seven golfers shooting even par or better.

Natalie Brosig won the Girl’s 15 and over division with her 81 and Parker Berk took home the trophy for the Boy’s 12 and under group. Well done to all the players of the tour. We had great weather for all tournament stops this season and the quality of play matched the weather … outstanding! Congratulations to all and see you Tuesday at Kahkwa for the Tour Championship.
