Evan Watkins defeted Zack Bird in the finals of the 2009 Junior Match Play by a 1up margin as Watkins won the final hole to take the match. The championship pitting a pair of Lawrence Park linksters was a close match to the very end.

In the first flight Mark Rupp defeated Alex Guerriero by a 1up score for the title.
